Half Day Afternoon Elephant Observation
Half Day Afternoon Session begins with a pick-up from your Chiang Mai accommodation. Start on a scenic 1.5-hour drive through rural landscapes, where you can view flowing mountain rivers, lush rice fields, golden cornfields, and green banana plantations.
Upon arrival at the sanctuary, you’ll receive a warm welcome and have the opportunity to change into traditional Karen clothing. Our knowledgeable tour guides will provide an interesting briefing about the sanctuary and its beloved elephants.
Involve yourself in the sanctuary’s activities as you participate in preparing food and snacks for the elephants, engage in feeding the elephants while maintaining a safe distance. Learn about their history and behavior and develop a connection with these magnificent creatures.
Sip harvested herbal tea from the village, all while observing the elephants in their natural habitat. Witness their daily routines, from foraging for food in the jungle to playful mud baths and tender bonding moments within the herd.
Take a refreshing break at the waterfall, which is situated in serene surroundings. Then Craft your own Thai cultural handmade souvenir to take back home.
Conclude your journey with a delicious local meal, say goodbye to the elephants in Joy Elephant Sanctuary and depart back to the city.
