Schedule
08:00 – 08:30 AM: Pick-up Pick-up from your accommodation in Chiang Mai’s Old Town.
08:30 – 09:45 AM: Scenic Drive Enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside and mountains to the sanctuary.
09:45 – 10:15 AM: Arrival & Introduction Welcome drink and brief orientation about the sanctuary's rescue mission and elephant safety. Change into traditional Karen clothes to prepare for your hands-on experience.
10:15 – 12:00 PM: Elephant Experience & Feeding Meet, feed, and observe the elephants as they roam freely in a natural, ethical environment. Learn about their individual histories and behaviors.
12:00 – 12:45 PM: River Walk & Water Time Walk alongside the herd down to the river to watch them bathe, play, and cool off in the water.
12:45 – 01:45 PM: Thai Lunch & Relaxation Savor a freshly prepared home-cooked Thai buffet lunch with local ingredients and seasonal tropical fruits. Take time to relax and recharge.
01:45 – 04:30 PM: Afternoon Choice (Select One Option)
Option A: Extended Elephant Time
Spend additional time walking with the herd, helping prepare natural snacks/herbal supplements, or observing their social interactions in the forested sanctuary areas.
Option B: Bamboo Rafting Adventure
Head to the nearby river to board traditional bamboo rafts for a peaceful, scenic float guided down the river through lush jungle surroundings.
04:30 – 05:00 PM: Wrap-Up & Departure Change out of traditional attire, collect your belongings, and say goodbye to the sanctuary team.
05:00 – 06:30 PM: Return Journey & Hotel Drop-off Scenic drive back to Chiang Mai, arriving back at your hotel in Old Town around
06:30 PM (depending on traffic).
